　　罗宾（玛丽·露易斯·帕克 Mary-Louise Parker 饰）患上了无法治愈的疾病，命不久矣。为了逃避现实，她决定踏上前往洛杉矶的旅途。简（乌比·戈德堡 Whoopi Goldberg 饰）一直以来都渴望成为一名歌手，无奈始终得不到机会，在机缘巧合之下，简成为了罗宾的司机，和她一同踏上旅程。
